Podcast with The Knowledge Exchange on Biopsychosocial Aspects of Manual Therapy

Podcast with The Knowledge Exchange on Biopsychosocial Aspects of Manual Therapy

I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to spend an hour today with Sydney, Australia-based personal trainer, exercise scientist, and exercise physiologist Daniel Pablo Arbillo. We spoke at-length about incorporating aspects of the biopsychosocial approach in manual therapy and, specifically, how my approach to manual care fits in. Daniel is a part of The Knowledge Exchange. The video speaks for itself, but please leave your comments and questions below. If you prefer to listen via an iTunes podcast, please click here.

Some of the papers I discussed in the video are:

-The mechanisms of manual therapy in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain: A comprehensive model, by Joel E. Bialosky (2009)

-Unraveling the mechanisms of manual therapy: Modeling an approach, by Joel E. Bialosky (2018)

-Manual therapy: Exploiting the role of human touch, by Tommaso Geri (2019)

-Exploring the Neural Bases of Primary Muscle Tension Dysphonia: A Case Study Using Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, by Nelson Roy (2019)
