In-Person and Online Seminars

The Foundations in Manual Therapy Seminar approach to manual therapy continues to evolve. Walt respects the work and giants of the past while working to propel it forward into more universally accepted narratives of current pain science, behavioral science, and neuroscience. Walt’s approach presents MT in ways not typically seen, where uncertainty is not only allowed but embraced. Unlike historical MT models, Walt uses one based on shared decision-making, which respects the patient’s beliefs, values, and expectations as having significance. Evidence is used throughout each class to support the hands-on work and interactions, with a solid patient-centered model at the approach’s core. Both beginners and advanced practitioners will find value in these workshops.

Walt’s Foundations in Manual Therapy: Voice and Swallowing Disorders (Introductory course, in-person and online) uses an evidence-based approach to manual therapy for the remediation of a multitude of disorders facing the SLP and voice professionals, myofunctional clinicians, as well as massage therapists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and others interest in this area. Teaching a core understanding of manual therapy, the Introductory workshop builds a foundation for the SLP to bring a new layer of evaluation and treatment into the clinic. Details for in-person classes are available here, and for the online courses, here.

The Advanced Voice and Swallowing Disorders in-person course is available at select locations. This class has a prerequisite of the Introductory Voice and Swallowing Disorders class (In-person or online). Details may be found here.
